UMSU and anti fascism

In June, Nick Griffin, leader of the British National Party, was elected as a North West MEP. UMSU is a proud anti fascist Union with a strong No Platform for Fascists policy, which was overwhelmingly passed by Union members at a General Meeting in the last academic year. UMSU is committed to fighting against fascism and the rise of the Far Right - marked not only by the growth of the BNP, but also by the violent street presence of the English Defence League.
