Manchester Labour Students

MLS is the largest Labour Student group in the country, and provides a great opportunity for students to get involved politically. The group is open to all Labour party members and we welcome all first years to sign up, whether they want to attend a few socials or help run a Labour councillor’s campaign.

As a club we are renowned for being dynamic and ever present on campus.

MLS plan to put a range of events in the 2011-2012 academic year. This year, the club managed to secure a Q & A session with Ed Miliband on the eve of the leadership contest! We plan to continue to get such high profile speakers, so keep your eyes open in Welcome Week for event advertisements!

We also host a variety of socials ranging from a curry on Rusholme to a socialism-themed pub-crawl (not difficult with drinks popular in the former USSR!)
