SPIT (Serenity Project in Tanzania)

Serenity Project in Tanzania is a fun, exciting, rewarding and grass roots society that aims to support the vulnerable villagers of Pommerin (South Tanzania) by various fundraising and awareness events held throughout the year.  So far we have accomplished building and maintaining 3 new clean water wells and housed 12 street orphans, giving them a safe home, clothes, food, shelter and education.  We aim to continue supporting these young orphans and helping others too.  Last year we famously held several fundraisers including “The Man/Woman Auction Night” and “Valentines Masquerade Party”.  We also walked the Bogle 55 miles in 24 hours!!  Overall almost £2000 was raised throughout the year.  This year we want to surpass our achievements and aim higher.  We aspire to raise £5000, to become a registered UK charity (already a Tanzanian registered charity), send volunteers abroad and build more water wells.
Please feel warmly welcomed in joining our society and making an active difference.  Looking for reliable, fun and committed new committee members, so do express your interest before posts are taken up and watch this space for our mega 1st fundraiser of the year!!
