A day trip to the Drax Power Station in Selby, North Yorkshire is planned for Wednesday 22 September 2010. This trip would be an excellent opportunity, particularly for Freshers (new students)  to visit one of the largest power stations in the UK.  You can take a look inside the power station and see how coal and alternative fuels, such as biomass, are turned into electricity for your business or home. Please bring your own packed lunch on this visit.   Cost to be determined later but in the region of £10 per person.
