Joining Nightline
- All Nightline members are students who have given up their spare time to attend training and to take calls.
A downside to being all students is that each year a large number of people graduate and leave the organisation.
- Any non-final year student from the University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University or the University of Salford may join Nightline.
We welcome all students, no matter what course they're doing or what their social background is.
No prior experience is needed as we run a large training programme twice yearly, one starting in October and one starting in Febuary.
The reason that we do not take final-year students any more is because they graduate too quickly after training!
- As a reward for volunteering, not only will you get a warm fuzzy feeling inside, but you'll be able to place the relevant skills and experience on your CV, but you will also be awarded a certificate from the millenium volunteer scheme
