Dear Motorsport Enthusiast,

Thanks for looking at our society, we hope you read with interest what we have to offer and consider joining in the fun.

The UMMS was created in 2005 due to a desire to fill the void of no motorsport society at the University. The society was created by myself and Julian Norman and turned out to be a great success, with over 400 students signing up to share their passion for motorsport with likeminded students.

In the opening year, the society catered purely for karting - be it serious competitions like the British Universities Karting Championship (BUKC), to fun events between members of the society at local indoor go-kart tracks. For 2007/2008 we are just catering for the BUKC as our primary focus and possibly some other events in between.

May I encourage you to look around the website and consider joining us. To be eligible to join the UMMS, all you need to be is 18 or over and currently studying a course at the University. If you fit this criteria then please click here.
