The Union has many resources and services available to help your activities and events run smoothly. The majority of these are free or subsidised and can be booked at General Office weekdays 10am-3pm.
The Union provides a variety of venues, everything from meeting rooms to gig venues, that societies are able to book for free. They can be either requested online or booked through General Office at the Students Union by society cardholders.
Student Societies can also get discounts when booking University venues or St Peter's Chaplaincy venues. Ask at General Office for details.

There is a variety of equipment available for use by societies, including:
Flipcharts, megaphones, projectors, whiteboards, microphones, overhead projector, television, DVD player and VCR.

Societies can have their own email address and webspace on the Union's server. Once registered contact Kevin Patrick in the Student Advice Centre on the first floor of the Biko Building, who will set up your account. Computer services
Societies can book a minibus through General Office at a cost of £25 per day, plus any fuel you use. You will recieve the bus with a full tabk of fuel, and you need to make sure it is full when you bring it back! Your driver will need to take a brief assessment in the vehicle first- anyone who is over 21 and has 2 years driving experience can do this- please ask at the Activities Centre for details.
General Office can do photocopying at reasonable rates. U-Print in the Barnes Wallis building offer copying and printing and a wide variety of other services.
Materialise, based in the Biko Building (entrance on south side of building), can provide a design service at reasonable rates.
If your event is being held at a Union venue, ticket printing is available at 3p per ticket and the tickets can be sold through the Union Box Office at 5% commission.
Faxes can be sent and received through General Office between 10am and 3pm weekdays, with appropriate charges.
All incoming society mail is sorted daily and placed in societies pigeonholes in the Student Activities Centre. Please check regularly.
Lockers are available on the Ground Floor of the Biko Building (admin corridor). Small red lockers (0.5m high) and large blue lockers (1m high) can be booked at General Office for four weeks at a time.
